For this conference we invited well-known speakers and scholars of the field of clinical ethics.
The ICCEC 2011 conference will capture a broad range of various topics.
• Formats and structures of clinical ethics services (CES)
• The relationship between CES and quality of care &
moral competence & policy
• Single Case Discussions
• Training and education of clinical ethics professionals
• The use of conversation methods
• The involvement of clients and family members in CES
• Moral theory and moral expertise in CES
• Empirical research on the quality, evaluation, processes
and products of CES
• The image of clinical ethics (services) represented in
movies, literature and television
Target audience
Any one working in the field of health care and interested in or confronted with ethical issues is welcome during this conference. So, besides health care professionals, also quality management staff, managers and directors, pastoral care, and (representatives of) patients and family members are welcome. Furthermore, those working in organizations that work closely with health institutions, and having a special interest in ethics and its relationship with the quality of care and professionals, are invited. For example, staff members from: health care insurance companies, Ministry of health care, educational programs, Health Care Inspection, patient organisations, various organisations for the health various professionals, umbrella organisations of various health care institutions. Of course, ethicists, clinical ethics consultants, philosophers, scientific researchers, and members of ethics committees are also more then welcome.
